CBS sports broadcaster Greg Gumbel has passed away.
Through the network, his family released a statement, saying, “It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved husband and father, Greg Gumbel. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by much love after a courageous battle with cancer.”
Gumbel, 78, worked for CBS for over thirty years, covering many events, including NFL and college basketball. Unfortunately, early this year, he had to step away from his duties to address health issues.
