AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Two people are dead after a motorcycle crash Wednesday evening in the 6800 block of East U.S. 290 Highway in southwest Austin, according to Austin-Travis County EMS. This was near the intersection of West William Cannon Drive and the East U.S. 290 Highway.
ATCEMS reported the motorcycle hit the pedestrian on the high-speed highway.
The Austin Police Department said the call came in at 8:37 p.m.
APD said westbound main lanes and the service road will be shut down for the next couple of hours as first responders are still on the scene.
