First things first, I want to thank Matt for covering my butt over the last couple of games. The wife and I did a little Christmas in New York this weekend, and we sure checked all the boxes. We went to Radio City, shopped in Soho, perused Central Park, oohed at the Rockefeller Christmas tree, and ahhed at the window displayed. Every street, store, and hot dog cart was decorated with Holiday cheer. Even the rats were wearing Santa hats!
So here is a shoutout to Matt for making things easy on me! I’m glad he got at least one fun win.
I asked Craig how hard it is to know he can contribute on the court and not get the chance and he said: "It's not hard because this (being a veteran mentor) is my role now. I had vets help me as a young player. It's my time to pay it forward."
— K.C. Johnson (@KCJHoop) December 22, 2024 While the Bulls held things together in the first half, this made it feel like things could turn south at any moment. You don’t try this up 2 points in the first quarter!Lonzo Ball ➡️ Zach LaVine…Cool alley, but the oop wasn't quite there! ? pic.twitter.com/evIGbu9vKk
— CHGO Bulls (@CHGO_Bulls) December 22, 2024 I loved seeing Matas Buzelis get up double-digit shot attempts in his 20 minutes of action. He may have only shot 4-10 from the field, but I liked just about every shot he tossed up! This score on the fastbreak was extremely well executed by the rookie …Matas through the contact ?@CHSN__ | @BuzelisMatas pic.twitter.com/Aa8jJB28SV
— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) December 22, 2024 Chris Duarte will rejoin the Bulls after a short stint with their G League affiliate. The 27-year-old did exactly what he was supposed to with Windy City, scoring 36 points with 5 rebounds and 5 assists against the Memphis Hustle. He followed that up with a well-rounded 15 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals against the Santa Cruz Warriors. Are these performances about to lead to more playing time? Probably not. But they did occur at the G League showcase, which means he may have grabbed the attention of some execs around the league before hitting free agency this offseason. The Chicago Bulls have recalled guard Chris Duarte from the Windy City Bulls. pic.twitter.com/WEbYDctnfj
— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) December 22, 2024 Connor Bedard’s sophomore season hasn’t been perfect, but he still continues to climb up the league leaderboards. Who is ready to be hurt again? The Chicago Bears will host the Detroit Lions later today. Let’s hope Caleb Williams can work some magic.ELSEWHERE AT BN: Check Out BN Fantasy | Subscribe to The BN Newsletter
