GAHANNA, Ohio (WCMH) -- One person was killed Friday in a restaurant shooting.
A representative with Gahanna said police were contacted at 1:20 p.m. about a shooting at the Subway in Stoneridge Plaza. Gahanna police said when they arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from a gun shot wound. Court documents indicate the victim was inside the Subway waiting in line when he was shot. The victim was pronounced dead 20 minutes later, police said.
Gahanna police said when they arrived on the scene, a suspect was found right outside the Subway, sitting on the curb with his hands in the air, fully undressed. Gahanna Deputy Chief of Police Jeff Lawless said he took off his clothes after the shooting, and confirmed the suspect is still in custody. All stores in the shopping center are open except the Subway where the shooting took place.
According to court documents, police have charged William Marshall Jr., 30, of Westerville with premeditated aggravated murder. He is scheduled for an arraignment Saturday morning at 9 a.m., court documents show.
