DUBLIN — A Bay Area man has been convicted of murder for killing two best friends nearly 39 years ago.
David Misch, a Santa Clara native, was convicted of two first degree murder counts in the February 1986 deaths of Michelle Xavier and Jennifer Duey.
Misch did not bother to appear in court Thursday afternoon when the verdicts were read.
Misch, who is already serving life for a murder that happened in 1989, faces an additional 50 years to life.
