Gwen Stefani is giving hope to fans everywhere with her new song, a celebration of finding love later in life—and a tribute to her husband, Blake Shelton.
In a behind-the-scenes video shared to Instagram on Wednesday, Dec. 18, the "Hollaback Girl" songstress, 55, gave viewers a peek at the recording of "Late to Bloom," a new track from her latest album, Bouquet.

"'Late to Bloom,' well, I mean, at the end of the day, like I think that for me I am far into my life now and just like all of us I don't think we can see the future," Stefani said in a voiceover.
"We have no idea what's going to happen," she continued, "but when you do have, like, the idea of love, you think of it like, 'Okay, I'm gonna graduate from high school, I'm going to find the person that I'm going to be with for and we're going to have a baby, we're going to grow old together and have grandchildren,' I mean that is the typical like, 'I'm going to play house dream.'"

"That just didn't happen for me really," she added. "So I think that this song is talking about using the idea that you know, late in the season of life, that I found love and I got to bloom."
