CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man pleaded guilty on Monday to randomly shooting into a crowd of people at Romare Bearden Park on New Year's Eve, according to court documents.

Daevion Crawford pleaded guilty to five counts of assault with a deadly weapon. Crawford was sentenced to 20 to 36 months in prison. He was given a 350-day credit for his days spent in confinement prior to judgment.
Crawford was also given three years probation and court records show he has to complete a cognitive behavioral course.
