CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A person has been arrested and charged in connection to a deadly shooting in southwest Charlotte, police say.
43-year-old Ebonee Makeesa Rhaman was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. She is currently being held in the Mecklenburg County Jail.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Archdale Drive around 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 13. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim with a gunshot wound. Medic pronounced the victim, 42-year-old Lashunda Shmicka McLendon, deceased on the scene.
The victim's next of kin have been notified of the arrests.
The investigation into this case remains active and ongoing.
