Al Wakra Municipality's Health Control Section carried out 1,107 field inspection tours on food outlets and facilities in December last year, issuing 27 violation reports according to law no 8 for 1990 on human food control. Besides, the section received eight related complaints, which were handled immediately. Two food samples were sent to the central labs. Four violation reports were referred to the security department concerned to take the necessary procedures according to the law. The veterinarian team supervised the slaughtering of 22,921 heads of sheep, goats, camels and cows at the automated slaughterhouse at Al Wakra.
