The pedestrian was crossing Nimitz Blvd. at 5 a.m. Thursday when he was struck by a BMW that may have damage to the front passenger door, according to a San Diego Police Department watch commander. The BMW was speeding with two other vehicles, possibly a Dodge Charger and a white Mustang. All three vehicles drove away from the scene.
