Ukiah Valley Fire Authority responds to fire on Christy Lane

The Ukiah Valley Fire Authority responded to a commercial structure fire on Christy Lane Tuesday night, Battalion Chief Eric Singleton reported. Singleton said that crews were dispatched to the 3700 block of Christy Lane around 11:45 p.m. Dec. 3 and found a “working fire inside a mid-sized commercial structure.” As crews worked to knock down the fire, which Singleton said was creating a lot of smoke and flames in the loft area of the building, personnel from both Cal Fire and the Redwood Valley-Calpella Volunteer Fire Department responded to assist. Once the fire was extinguished, Singleton said most of the damage had been created in the loft area, which was full of electrical equipment. He
