MCSO: Ukiah man arrested after allegedly ramming patrol car
A Ukiah man was arrested recently after allegedly ramming his car into a deputy’s patrol vehicle during a pursuit, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, deputies were in the 400 block of Observatory Avenue around 12:45 a.m. Nov. 23 when they reported hearing a vehicle “driving in a reckless manner,” and when the vehicle approached them, they “attempted to stop the vehicle in order to question the occupants regarding the reckless driving.” The deputies then reported that the driver, identified as 28-year-old Rodrigo Chavez-Bejinez of Ukiah, then “accelerated toward the deputies, ultimately driving between them and speeding away” in a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee t
