November 27, 2024 (ATBARA) –  Two drones attacked a Sudanese army artillery base in Atbara, River Nile State, late on Wednesday, military sources said. This follows drone attacks on Atbara airport earlier this week. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are suspected of carrying out these attacks as a prelude to an assault on the area. Sources told Sudan Tribune that one explosives-laden “suicide drone” hit near the officers’ quarters mosque. A second drone exploded in a field at the base’s eastern training camp.
