GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Video was released Tuesday regarding a deadly 2020 drive-by shooting as law enforcement continues to search for clues to finding the shooter. The incident occurred around 9:16 p.m. on May 5, 2020, when 24-year-old Gavin Plyler was killed after a home on East Park Avenue in Gastonia was shot into. Credit: Gastonia PDCredit: Gastonia PD District Attorney Travis Page said Plyler was sitting with his 9-year-old brother when he was shot, and law enforcement believe he was an unattended target in a case of mistaken identity.
