Authorities Name Suspect, Deputies in Fatal Shooting That Ended Spring Valley Standoff

Photo credit: @SDSheriff via X Authorities on Thursday identified a trespassing suspect who was shot by seven deputies, ending a standoff at his ex-girlfriend’s Spring Valley home. Victor Rendon Jr., 34, died at the scene, according to the San Diego Police Department, which investigates law enforcement shootings by the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office under the terms of a countywide agreement intended to prevent conflicts of interest.
