Asheville residents react to having clean drinking water for first time since Helene
ASHEVILLE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- After 53 days without clean water, more than 100,000 people in western North Carolina are finally able to safely drink from their taps. The City of Asheville lifted its boil water advisory on Monday. Parts of Asheville, like the River Arts District, are a long way from being back to what they once were. The city and its people are making steps every day to get back to normal, and having clean water to drink is a big step in the right direction.
