For the second season in a row, the Chicago Sky will select No. 3 overall in the 2025 WNBA Draft. Despite finishing with the WNBA’s third-worst record, the Chicago Sky came into the night with zero chance for the No. 1 overall pick. This is due to a 2023 trade by former head coach and Sky executive James Wade. He sent 2025 first-round swap rights to the Dallas Wings as part of a package in exchange for Marina Mabrey. With Wade leaving shortly after this big offseason trade, the Sky quickly opted for a rebuild.
