(NEXSTAR) — In just a few months, a new rule will take effect in the U.S. requiring those flying domestically to have a REAL ID-compliant ID (unless they already have one). Starting in early May, you will need a REAL ID in order to board a domestic flight, as well as visit certain federal facilities or enter a nuclear power plant.
