October 28, 2024 (WAD MADANI) – The death toll from Friday’s attack on Al-Sreiha area in Sudan’s Al-Jazirah state has risen to 141, local sources said on Monday. Over 50 of the victims were reportedly executed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). The RSF, a paramilitary group, launched a heavy weapons assault on the village, located 35 kilometres (22 miles) north of Wad Madani. The attack sent residents fleeing to nearby villages, which are now also under threat. Khalid Al-Obeid, an activist involved in evacuating the wounded, told Sudan Tribune that two pregnant women and two infants died during the displacement. Survivors are attempting to evacuate over 200 wounded to the city of Shendi. Th
