Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel Atty hailed the role of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in alleviating the suffering of Palestinian people. During a meeting held on Wednesday25/9/2024 with President of the ICRC Mirjana Spoljaric Egger, on the sidelines of the meetings of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Egyptian minister reviewed Egypt’s efforts to bring Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip to a halt, the importance of reaching a ceasefire agreement, securing unimpeded flew of humanitarian aid and sparing the region negative consequences of slipping into a regional war.
