Earlier, India were bowled out for 376 in their first innings with Ravichandran Ashwin hitting a century and Ravindra Jadeja scoring 86. Together, they added 199 runs for the seventh wicket to revive India after they were left struggling when fast bowler Hasan Hamud ran through their top-order in the morning session of Day 1. Hasan went on to complete his five-wicket haul.
