September 8, 2024 (JUBA) – An International Development Association (IDA) grant was approved by the World Bank Group Executive Board of Directors and South Sudan government to support strengthening of institutional and human resource capabilities in the public service to better deliver basic needs and services to citizens.t The IDA grant of $15 million will be combined with South Sudan government’s $3 million for the project. The grant, a press release stated, will finance the Building Institutional Foundations for an Effective Public Service Project, which will play a key role in improving state capacity over the long term.
