Islamabad: Police in Lahore have fined a restaurant for serving former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif during a recent visit there. The Gawalmandi police have registered a case against the administration of the ‘Butt Karahi’ at Laxmi Chowk for violating COVID-19 Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The restaurant had offered Nawaz who is also vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and her party members its traditional ‘mutton karahi’ cooked in butter and black pepper when she was returning after addressing a corner meeting in the Lohari Gate as part of the preparations for the Pakistan Democratic Movement’s (PDM) Dec 13 rally.
