Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) President Naveen Patnaik on Friday reiterated his commitment for the development of tribal communities in Odisha. Gracing the World Tribal Day celebration at Sankha Bhawan, Naveen demanded the inclusion of tribal languages, such as Ho, Mundari, Bhumij, and Saora in the 8th Schedule of the Indian Constitution. It is absolutely necessary to strengthen the education and livelihood of tribals, the BJD supremo said. Similarly, Naveen has reiterated the demand for the inclusion of 169 communities in the ST list. There are 64 tribal communities and 13 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) in Odisha.
