The announcement comes about 10 days after training camp began in North Carolina. The group are some of the oldest swimmers on the team. Fink is the oldest member of either roster while Murphy is the 4th oldest on the roster. Weitzeil and Ledecky are two out of the five 27-year old women. Murphy, Fink, and Weitzeil all were captains at last summer’s 2023 LCM World Championships in Fukuoka. Paris marks the first nod for Ledecky as a captain.
