AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — Angered over comments made by an Aurora City Council member, protesters over the police shooting death of Kilyn Lewis stormed a town hall meeting on Thursday night. Family, friends and supporters of Lewis showed up to a town hall meeting hosted in part by Council Member Stephanie Hancock. Lewis, 37, was shot and killed by an Aurora police officer in May as authorities were attempting to serve an arrest warrant on attempted homicide. Aurora police said after Lewis refused commands, one hand disappeared from view. When that hand reappeared, authorities said he was holding an object. One Aurora officer fired a shot, which would ultimately kill Lewis.  It was
