Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley are expecting first baby

Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley, the Hollywood power couple, have recently announced that they are expecting their first baby. This news has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry as fans eagerly await updates on the pregnancy.

Robbie and Ackerley, who tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2016, have always kept their personal lives relatively low-key. However, with this exciting new chapter on the horizon, it is clear that they are embracing this next stage of their relationship with open arms.

Robbie debuted her baby bump in a white crop top earlier in the day while taking a boat ride in Lake Como, Italy, with the movie producer, as seen in photos obtained by the Daily Mail.

Ackerley, who also works in Hollywood as a producer and assistant director, is originally from England. Per People, the couple met 11 years ago on the set of Robbie’s film Suite Française. Since then, Ackerley has gone on to produce films like A Promising Young Woman and Saltburn.

While largely private about their relationship, Robbie did open up about her marriage in a November 2018 interview with Porter.

“Even if we both have to fly to a country in-between where we both are for one night, we’ll do it and then fly back to work the next day. And we speak all day, every day on the phone,” Robbie told the outlet. In the same interview, Robbie called married life “the most fun ever” and said she had “a responsibility being someone’s wife.”

The couple married in 2016 after meeting on the set of "Suite Française" in 2013. Robbie was starring in the film and Ackerley was working as an assistant director.

They went on to form the production company LuckyChap as friends with Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara, before eventually becoming a romantic item. LuckyChap produced a number of Robbie’s most successful movies, including "I, Tonya," "Birds of Prey," and "Barbie."

Previously, Robbie has been candid regarding her frustration with societal expectations around motherhood. “I got married, and the first question in almost every interview is, ‘Babies? When are you having one?’” she said in a 2019 interview with RadioTimes. “I’m so angry that there’s this social contract. You’re married, now have a baby. Don’t presume. I’ll do what I’m going to do.” True to her word, it sounds like she and her husband are planning their family when the timing is right for them. And whenever that may be, we are very excited for Baby Robbie!
