IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- A Statesville mother has been arrested after her 2-year-old son overdosed and was administered Narcan at the hospital, authorities said. According to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, the toddler was brought to the emergency room on Monday, July 1, by his mother, Brittany Dawn Riley, after she found him unresponsive. Hospital staff determined the boy was overdosing and administered Narcan. The 2-year-old's condition was stabilized and he was transported to Brenner Children's Hospital in Winston-Salem for further observation, where he is expected to make a full recovery.
