GIRARD — The Girard Board of Education has ratified new three-year contracts that include pay raises with its teaching and nonteaching unions. The board approved an agreement with the Girard Education Association effective Aug. 16, 2024, to Aug. 15, 2027, and an agreement with the Ohio Association of Public School Employees Local 425 effective July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2027. Superintendent Bryan O’Hara said teachers will receive a 6% pay increase in the first and second years, and a 6.5% increase in the third year.
