Christian McCaffrey, the standout running back for the Carolina Panthers, recently tied the knot with former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo in a lavish wedding ceremony held in Rhode Island. The couple's nuptials were attended by family and friends, as well as a number of high-profile celebrities and athletes.
The marriage between McCaffrey and Culpo has garnered significant attention from the media and fans alike, with many expressing their well wishes for the newlyweds. Both McCaffrey and Culpo are widely recognized figures in their respective fields, making their union all the more notable.
The couple got married Saturday during a wedding ceremony in Watch Hill, Rhode Island, with Vogue announcing the news and sharing exclusive images of her gown. NFL star McCaffrey and former Miss Universe winner Culpo, who is from Rhode Island, have been dating since 2019 and got engaged in April of last year.
The couple first began dating back in 2019 and got engaged last April. McCaffrey starred collegiate at Stanford before getting drafted by the Carolina Panthers, then coming over to the 49ers in a midseason trade in 2022. Culpo won the Miss Universe pageant in 2012 and went on to host the competition three times. She also starred in a reality show about her family called “The Culpo Sisters.”
Of course, the 32-year-old noted a few other things that would make her special day one to remember — including family, tequila, good weather and good times — but otherwise insisted she planned to be a chill bride, adding, "Whatever happens, happens."
The carousel of pics also included shots inside the plane. The floor of the jet was sprinkled with white petals and a tablet showed a gallery of Culpo and McCaffrey’s pics together over the years.
For the wedding flight meal, the couple could choose from chicken lettuce wraps, ahi sushi bowls, summer strawberry crunch salad and several breakfast dishes.
Culpo and McCaffrey, 27, first started dating back in 2019, before announcing their engagement in April 2023. And for the "Culpo Sisters" star — who previously dated Nick Jonas and Danny Amendola — it's through their journeys together that made it clear she and the running back are teammates for life.
Culpo is a fashion influencer who was named Miss Universe 2012 and has co-hosted the two most recent Miss Universe pageants. Her other television credits include competing on season nine of Fox’s The Masked Singer in 2023.
