MCSO: Ukiah woman found dead in tent of suspected overdose
A Ukiah woman was found dead in a tent after a suspected overdose, the Mendocino COunty Sheriff’s Office reported. According to the MCSO, deputies were in the Ackerman Creek area east of the 2200 block of North State Street in Ukiah around 1 p.m. June 26 while investigating the “theft of a bicycle from a nearby home.” While there, the deputies approached a woman “who appeared to be sleeping in a tent. When (she) did not respond to them, the deputies investigated further and found (her) to be deceased.” The woman was identified as Elizabeth A. Dockins, 35, and the MCSO reports that “based on evidence located at the scene, the cause of death is suspected to be the result of a drug overdose. Th
