Ms. Shirley Watson Braswell, known to many as Granny, age 83 of Carthage, TN, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2024. Ms. Braswell was born February 19, 1941 in the Club Springs Community of Smith County, TN, a daughter of the late Dewey Odell Watson and Eva Athaleen Bennett Watson. She was also preceded in death by two sisters; Pat Watson Jones and Joyce Ann Watson Vaden. Shirley was raised in Congo Bottom and was a member of Gordonsville High School Class of 1959. After high school, she worked as an LPN for Smith County Memorial Hospital and the Petty Green Clinic. Later she worked at RobertShaw and Dana for several years. She finished her career with Zena Corporation after workin
