BURKE COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- Two people have been charged after breaking into a high school and stealing multiple items, according to the Burke County Sheriff's Office. On June 6, deputies investigated a larceny report at East Burke High School in Connelly Springs. It was reported that several items, including tools, were stolen from the agriculture department. Investigators received a tip from a citizen that led to a search at 3931 East Burke Blvd. That's about one mile away from the school.
