The checkpoint was conducted from 8 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday in the 12700 block of Poway Road, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. A total of 488 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, with 30 motorists stopped for secondary evaluations, according to the department. Seven drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed, one vehicle was towed and two drivers were cited for not having their driver’s license in their possession, authorities said.
