Beshear announces clean water and sewer infrastructure funding
The Crittenden-Livingston Water District will receive $2,880,000 to increase the capacity of its water treatment plant. Beshear said the funds would allow the plant to better serve its customers and allow more water to go to the city of Marion.   Marion will receive an additional $1,200,000 to improve the storage capacity of the city’s water treatment plant.   According to Livingston County Judge Executive Teris Swanson: “Water security is one of the most important things for any community, not only for the safety and health of our residents, but for economic viability and security in the future as well.”    Funding for the project comes from Kentucky’s Community Development Block Grant.
