The 2024 CMT Awards proved to be a night of triumph for Jelly Roll, as the talented artist dominated the awards ceremony with multiple wins. Going into Sunday night’s (April 7) show, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, Kelsea Ballerini and Megan Moroney led nominations with three apiece — and Jelly took home all three prizes he was up for. Ballerini returned as host this year for the show, which aired live from Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
The CMT Music Awards are tonight, and country music's biggest stars have flocked to Austin, Texas, to celebrate the genre.

Kelsea Ballerini hosted the awards for fourth time in a row, opening with a comedic sketch about reading the minds of country music’s biggest names that ended with Keith Urban hugging the beaver mascot of beloved Texas gas station chain Buc-ee’s.
Her many outfit changes were only the first of a few surprises, which also included Melissa Etheridge appearing on a duet of “Come to My Window” with Ballerini.
Ballerini is up with “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)” for video of the year, “Penthouse” for female video of the year and her live awards version “If You Go Down” for CMT performance of the year. The country star returns as the host of the award show for the fourth and final time this year.
The show will also be packed with a star-studded lineup of performers. Bailey Zimmerman, Keith Urban and Sam Hunt are set to take the stage, in addition to nominees Wilson, Jelly Roll and Ballerini.
After the performance, a tearful Clemens took the stage and led the entire audience in a Red Solo Cup cheers to the legend: “Whisky for my men and beer for my horses!” he shouted, raising his cup up to the heavens.
