A Ukiah man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Sunday after allegedly hitting a woman with his vehicle and leaving the scene, the Ukiah Police Department reported. According to the UPD, officers responded to the 100 block of Talmage Road around 10:25 p.m. Sunday when it was reported that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle. At the scene, the officers reported finding a woman “in the roadway with obvious major injuries” and that the vehicle that struck her had “fled from the scene.
