March 17, 2024 (SENNAR) — Authorities in Sennar state have mobilized troops affiliated with the Police Central Reserve to bolster the army’s efforts to reclaim control of the central Sudanese state of Al Jazirah from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Traditionally uninvolved in the conflict, the police departed from their usual stance when Central Reserve units were sighted in downtown Khartoum.
