Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced an increase in the pension for Nirman Shramik. According to the Chief Minister’s announcement, the pension amount of the Nirman Shramiks registered under the Odisha Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board has been increased. All of them are benefiting from Construction Workers Pension Scheme. The construction workers, who have crossed the age of 60 years, will now get a monthly pension of Rs 1,000 instead of Rs 500. Similarly, construction workers above 80 years of age will get Rs 1200 instead of Rs 700. This new pension will be implemented from the month of February 2024.
