Bhubaneswar: A retired additional Tahasildar has been sentenced to two years rigorous imprisonment following his conviction in a bribery case. Kapilendra Naik, Ex-Addl. Tahasildar (Retired), Kuarmunda Tahasil in Sundargarh district, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in a case vide Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh for demanding and accepting bribe from a complainant to finalise his mutation case, was convicted by Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargarh. Naik has been sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and fine of Rs.3,000 and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 months more for the offence U/s 13(2)
