Michigan State University Landscape Architecture faculty, Dr. Wonmin Sohn and Dr. Jun-Hyun Kim, secured the funding, including the $815,700 and matching funds of $324,000 from the nonprofit Pierce Park Nature Preserve. MSU teamed up with the nature preserve for the “Restoring Wetland and Terrestrial Habitat to Improve Green Spaces and Water Quality in Pierce Park” project, which has an estimated value of nearly $1.4 million.
