100 years ago in 1924: Kiwanians, a few guests and their ladies observing the club’s “Sweetheart Night” at the Hotel Warner turned the clock back a varying number of years and became “kids” again. Then at 10 p.m., they turned the clock forward a bit and enjoyed a dance. There was a snake dance that took 65 couples off their dignity and made them all schoolmates. There were lively stunts for the whole company, contests with rapid word spelling by individuals holding letters and rushing to places amid much confusion, excitement, laughs and an occasional scream.
