SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Xavier women’s basketball dropped an 86-62 BIG EAST matchup at Seton Hall on Saturday afternoon at Walsh Gymnasium. The Musketeers moved to 1-20 (0-12 BIG EAST), while the Pirates improved to 14-10 (6-7 BIG EAST). Seton Hall hit 61.5 percent (8-for-13) of its shot attempts in the opening quarter, building a 14-point lead (26-12). The Pirates led by double figures for the remainder of the game to pull away for their 10th home win of the season. Seton Hall led by as many as 29 points (73-44) with 8:07 left in regulation and finished with a season-high 86 points. Seton Hall led 45-25 at the break. The Musketeers were only outscored by four points in the second half (41-37)
