The Ukiah Library will be hosting a Haiku Walk on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. at 105 N. Main St. This is a free event. Celebrate National Haiku Writing Month and prepare for the ukiaHaiku Festival contest with a guided haiku walk (gingkos) with the Ukiah Branch Library. “We will meet at the library entrance and walk/roll/stroll around downtown Ukiah,” the library stated in a news release. “Led by Melissa Eleftherion Carr, we will make poems based on visual and aural observations of our surroundings, and play with metrics, rhythm, and cadence to discover where the syllables take us.” Eleftherion Carr is a writer, librarian, visual artist, and the author of the full-length poetry collections “
