January 24, 2023 (JUBA) – The SPLM-IO leader, Riek Machar has appointed two new committee chairpersons. In a letter issued on December 31, 2023 letter, the SPLM-IO chairperson appointed John Dal El Tayib as the new national committee of culture, youth and sports chairperson. Tayib replaces Odhok Oyai. Cde Pal Mai Deng is the new national committee for information and communication chairperson. Machar’s letter was addressed to the SPLM-IO Secretary General Regina Joseph Kaba.
