YANGON: Two people were killed and eight others injured in a shelling attack in southern Myanmar’s Taninthayi Region on Thursday, Xinhua quoted the state-run Myanmar News Agency report on Friday.The attack, reportedly carried out by the People’s Defence Force (PDF) using homemade mortar shells, hit a living quarters of construction workers in Launglon town of Taninthayi Region, the report said.The assailants carried out the attack while making their escape following the burning of the office of a veteran organisation in Launglon town at around 9 am local time on Thursday, it said.The deceased included one male and one female, while the injured included four children.The victims were sent to
