New York Giants win over Green Bay Packers 24-22

A wild fourth quarter ended with a walk-off 37-yard field goal by Giants K Randy Bullock to give the Giants a 24-22 win over the Packers on Monday night at MetLife Stadium.

The Packers were headed for a loss until Giants RB Saquon Barkley fumbled without anybody touching him at the end of a long run. Packers CB Carrington Valentine scooped it up, ran 50 yards the other way, and set Green Bay's offense up for a TD with a minute and a half to go. The two-point try was no good, though, so the Packers led by just one point.

The Giants went the other way, hitting a 32-yard pass to WR Wan'Dale Robinson to get into field-goal range. They ran the clock down and kicked the walk-off.

DeVito rushed for 71 yards in the third straight win for the Giants (5-8). He threw an 8-yard TD pass to Isaiah Hodgins while leading four scoring drives, two of them capped by Barkley runs of 5 and 1 yards. The Giants defense forced three turnovers.

Reed scored on a 16-yard run and Anders Carlson kicked field goals of 36, 32 and 48 yards for the Packers (6-7), who had won three in a row. Green Bay dropped to 16-1 in December under LaFleur.

DeVito finished 17 of 21 for 158 yards. He had a 26-yard run that set up Barkley's 1-yard TD in the third quarter, and Hodgins' touchdown made it 21-13.

After that, the Packers were in the red zone at the two-minute warning. Love hit Reed for a big third-down conversion to set up first-and-goal. On second-and-goal, Malik Heath caught a pass in the end zone and it looked like a touchdown but officials ruled it incomplete after safety Jason Pinnock knocked it loose. That call held up after a review. On the next play, Heath caught a 6-yard touchdown near the sideline, barely breaking the plane to get in. The Giants trailed 22-21 after stopping the 2-point conversion with 1:33 to go.

DeVito was calm to start the Giants' final drive. He hit a few short passes. Then he hit Wan'Dale Robinson for 32 yards to get the Giants into field-goal range. The Giants ran it a few times and settled for a 37-yard field-goal attempt by Randy Bullock.

Bullock's kick was good, and it officially went into Giants history as The Tommy DeVito Game. You can't even make up a story this fun.
