December 6, 2023 (KHARTOUM) – The Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) have accused the Rapid Support militia (RSF) of causing a fire outbreak at the Khartoum refinery in Al-Jaili on Wednesday. In a press statement, the SAF stated that the fire was a result of the RSF’s destruction of the refinery’s control system. The statement also accused the RSF of attempting to pin the blame on the SAF to discredit the military. The army held the RSF and its “mercenaries” responsible for the full consequences of the fire and the damage it caused to the refinery and the surrounding area. The statement also called on the international and regional community to expedite its classification of the RSF as a terrorist
