A Santa Rosa man was killed Thursday morning when his car collided head-on with a pick-up truck on Highway 253 near Ukiah, the California Highway Patrol reported. According to the CHP, the driver of a 2020 Honda Civic sedan, identified only as a 47-year-old Santa Rosa man, was heading westbound on Hwy 253, just east of Stipp Lane near Ukiah, when the sedan “crossed into the opposing traffic lane directly into the path” of a 2020 Ford Ranger being driven by a 79-year-old Ukiah man. The CHP reports that neither driver was able to avoid the crash and the vehicles collided head-on.
