Newton Falls city manager pay raise on hold
NEWTON FALLS – A judge has granted a temporary restraining order blocking Newton Falls City Manager Pam Priddy from receiving a large raise granted by council after the action was requested by Newton Falls councilwoman Julie Stimpert. A full hearing on the matter is set for Nov. 30 before Trumbull County Common Pleas Judge Andrew Logan. The request stems from whether a Sept. 11 special council meeting, in which Priddy’s raise received a required first reading, was a legal meeting. The meeting had been adjourned by then-Mayor Ken Kline who stated immediately after roll was taken that he believed the meeting was illegal. Priddy received a controversial 50% pay increase from $60,000 to $90,000
